They Said What?!

That’s right! The teaser wasn’t bologna… WE STARTED A PODCAST!

The “No Regrets” Podcast’s first episode aired this past Saturday (June 10th on my YouTube Channel) and features myself and Matt and occasionally BLITZ (if he feels like showing his handsome face).

Our conversation began with recapping the week and sharing any valuable/ridiculous stories that popped up. Then we got YOU involved! On Tuesday of last week, I asked you guys for your questions on IG! Each week the one of the main segments of our podcast will be the “Ask Me Anything” segment, where you can ask us ANYTHING! Fitness or nonfitness related, ask away!

The questions on IG was just to get us moving on the first week. From here on out, you can ask your question here at [email protected] 

We had fun on our first run at the podcast. It’s in the baby stages. I am learning a lot myself and am excited to see how it grows over the many reps we do.

Where I’m at with training.

It’s bittersweet ending the season the way we did. It’s a weird feeling when you know you did what you could, were proud of the scores you put up, but in the end, it didn’t land you where you wanted it too. You get those nasty thoughts of “I’m not good enough” creeping towards you. You can listen to some of my first thoughts on our first MOVE Mindset Talk here, and get a glimpse into how the first week back was full of ups and downs.

Hey! That’s life; and as much as I love CrossFit and what it has brought into my life, little by little, I’m teaching myself that a big part of my life is this sport, but my life is not CrossFit.

I’ll say it again, “You’ll be seeing me around the competition floor for many years to come”. I know our greatest years are ahead and I’m so excited for them! The more experiences we gather the more knowledgable we’ll be for those prime years!

SO! WHAT IS THE PLAN?

We Keep Building! We saw so much progress this past year in my strength and power output that it would be a bit foolish to step away from that. As much as we all want BIG Becca to just pack on 15lbs of muscle in a year, thats not how it works. With that being said, my main priority is to protect my relationship with this sport. I love it! It makes me happy! It brings so much joy into my life! It lead me to the love of my life! It has provided me a 200+ person FAMILY that continues to grow every day! This relationship needs to stay that way. That is the only way these big goals can be met. Which meanssssss… more crazy videos/content that we have fun with, right?!

Physically, we gonna take advantage of having an “off-season”. When you make it it all the way through the season, meaning make it to the CrossFit Games, it leaves you little time afterwards to get ready for the following season. Right now I’m enjoying less training volume and jumping in on some fun class workouts. Matt, won’t be programming for me for a while to encourage my fitness freedom!

It’s a difficult balance because I need to be taking it slow, but just like many of us that step foot in the gym, working out keeps me sane. Moving my body makes me feel good. So, we’ll keep it light and fun right now and build little by little moving into next season!

The BLITZ Bullets

Heres what BLITZ did this week:

  • BLITZ threw up what we think was a sock. He immediately got the zoomies after.

  • He did not approve of the Texas Heat/Humidity and demand someone use the Echo Bike so he gets fanned

  • He does approve of licking the sweat off of people though

  • Chased bunnies
